After five fruitless nominations, Leonardo DiCaprio has finally won his first Oscar - being crowned Best Actor for his role in The Revenant.
Spotlight took the coveted Best Film award, while Brie Larson won Best Actress for Room. Mark Rylance took Best Supporting Actor, and Alicia Vikander won Best Supporting Actress.
