Nearly 100 firefighters fought a major industrial park fire in Bromford, Birmingham for almost five hours, before finally bringing it under control.

The blaze ripped through the offices of a large car parts warehouse on Thursday evening, prompting fire chiefs to advise locals to close their windows and doors.

Eight crews from West Midlands Fire Service were dispatched to the scene on Wingfoot Way after the alarm was raised at around 7pm.

Seven fire engines from around Birmingham, West Bromwich and Sutton Coldfield and two hydraulic platforms were sent to deal with the fire.

West Midlands Ambulance Service said no-one was injured in the blaze, but they did send a hazardous area response team, a paramedic manager and an emergency planner to the scene to assist.
