Scottish Power third to announce gas price cut
Scottish Power has announced it will cut its standard domestic gas prices by an average 5.4%, making it the third energy supplier to announce a drop in recent weeks.
The reduction, effective from 15 March, will benefit more than one million customers and reduce the average standard gas bill by £32, the company said.
It comes after SSE and E.ON announced 5.3% and 5.1% cuts in their gas tarrifs respectively.
