Vatican tells ITV News Britain is 'better in than out' of EU

Britain would be "better in than out" of the EU, the Vatican's foreign secretary has told ITV News.

Archbishop Paul Gallagher told Julie Etchingham the decision was ultimately up to the British people.

But Mr Gallagher, who is originally from Liverpool, said: "We would see it as being something that is not going to make a stronger Europe."
