Anti-war protesters call for end to UK strikes in Syria

Hundreds of people have gathered in central London for a Stop the War protest against the UK's airstrikes against Islamic State in Syria.

The protesters planned to march to Downing Street as they appeal to the Government to stop the campaign.

One man, who gave his name as Tony, labelled Prime Minister David Cameron as "insane" and "evil" for pursuing a more aggressive approach.

"You can't bomb your way to peace, he said.

Another speaker used a microphone to rally supporters, encouraging them to "shout loudly" as they call on the Government to "stop bombing Syria".
