'Hostages safe' after incident in French town of Roubaix
All hostages are now reportedly safe following an incident in the northern French town of Roubaix near the Belgian border.
Police sources said that the incident appeared to be robbery-related and was not thought to be linked to the Paris terror attacks on 13 November.
"This is apparently not a terrorist attack, it's apparently a robbery," one police source said.
Reuters initially reported several people suffered gunshot wounds during the incident.
A source said:
Medical and fire services confirmed that an operation was underway in the town, but haven't given further details.
