Jewish teacher stabbed 'by IS supporters' in Marseille
A Jewish teacher has been stabbed in Marseille in France by three people claiming to be Islamic State supporters, according to French prosecutors.
Marseille prosecutor Brice Robin said three people on two scooters, one of them wearing an Islamic State t-shirt, approached the teacher in the street.
Another showed a picture on his mobile telephone of Mohammed Merah, a Islamist militant who killed seven people in a series of attacks in southern France in 2012.
They insulted, threatened and then stabbed their victim in the arm and leg, Mr Robin said.
The attackers fled after they were interrupted by the arrival of a car, he added.
