Jeremy Corbyn has confirmed he will sing the national anthem at future events, the Labour Party has said.
It follows an interview earlier on Wednesday in which Mr Corbyn refused to answer directly whether he would sing the anthem in future.
He said: "I am going to be at many events and I am going to take part fully in those events - I don't see a problem with this.
"The issue surely is that we had a memorial for the Battle of Britain, I was there. I showed respect for it and I will show respect in the proper way at all future events."
Labour clarified Mr Corbyn's position in a statement after the interview had taken place.
The announcement came as Mr Corbyn prepared to face David Cameron for the first time as Labour leader in Prime Minister's Questions.
