Corbyn asks Cameron questions from public in debut PMQs

Jeremy Corbyn asks David Cameron questions submitted by the public as he takes part in Prime Minister's Questions for the first time as Labour leader.

Before his PMQs appearance, Labour said Mr Corbyn will sing the national anthem at future events, after he was criticised for not singing the anthem at a Battle of Britain commemoration on Tuesday.

Argentina's president is among those who have offered congratulations to Jeremy Corbyn on his election as Labour's new leader.

Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner, who has clashed repeatedly with the British government over the Falkland Islands, known in Argentina as the Malvinas, said Corbyn was "a great friend of Latin America" and called his victory a "triumph".

Jeremy Corbyn is a great friend of Latin America and shares, in solidarity, our demands for equality and political sovereignty.

In her statement she also noted that Mr Corbyn "actively supports the call of the international community for dialogue between the United Kingdom and Argentina in the Malvinas question".
