Bayern boss says Man City have best academy

Bayern Munich president Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has praised Manchester City for their investment in youth.

The German believes the Premier League club has the best facilities in the world after opening their new City Football Academy last year.

City's youth policy has been questioned in recent times as the club have failed to bring through a notable player from their own ranks in recent years, but are hopeful the likes of Brandon Barker, Kean Bryan and Angus Gunn can progress.

"I've taken a look at Manchester City's youth academy and all I can say is it doesn't get any better than that," Rummenigge told the Suddeutsche Zeitung newspaper.

"I have also visited Tottenham's, Arsenal's and Chelsea's and it's the same wherever you go.

"I can tell you that the English are going all out, also in terms of youth development."
