Police release CCTV footage after Ferguson shooting anniversary violence

Police in America have released CCTV footage which they say shows a teenager pulling a gun from his waistband shortly before he was shot by officers.

A state of emergency was declared in St. Louis County in the US following violence in the town of Ferguson during events to mark a year since the police shooting of unarmed black teenager Michael Brown.

Tyrone Harris, who was shot by police during Sunday's memorial, has been charged with four counts of assault. Police said the CCTV shows him with a gun.

Man shot by police during Ferguson anniversary event charged with assault

Tyrone Harris, who was shot by police during an event to mark a year since the killing of unarmed black teenager Michael Brown, has been charged with four counts of assault.

Harris is suspected of firing at officers in violence in the suburb of Ferguson, St. Louis in the US state of Missouri on Sunday.

The 18-year-old black man is in a critical condition in hospital after being shot by officers when they returned fire, police said.
