Thirteen climate change activists are in custody after chaining themselves to railings on the north runway at Heathrow Airport.
Activists from campaign group Plane Stupid said demonstrators gained access to the runway at 3.30am after cutting a hole in a fence. The protest forced the cancellation of some flights.
Plane Stupid campaigner Graham Thompson told ITV News a third runway was "absolutely unsustainable for the environment" as protesters continue to block Heathrow's north runway.
He added: "We need to be cutting emissions extremely rapidly and our government has come up with a plan to expand them and increase them."
The Democratic presidential candidate may also have shown his cards on his choice of running mate.
The US president also shared a post on Twitter accusing Dr Anthony Fauci of misleading the public over hydroxychloroquine.
