Video footage apparently shows French police forcibly striking MyFerryLink workers who were blocking a road at Calais.
The police, wearing riot gear, sprayed pepper spray at the strikers who were sat on the ground singing the French national anthem, La Marseillaise.
Around 400 workers are on strike to protest plans by Eurotunnel to sell two of MyFerryLink's three passenger vessels to Denmark's DFDS and convert the third to freight, potentially cutting 600 jobs
The video, obtained by ITV News, shows scores of migrants desperately trying to board lorries in a restricted area within the tunnel.
