French cathedral may be 'structurally unstable' after fire
A fire on the roof of a cathedral in the French city of Nantes this morning may have left the building structurally unstable, according to firemen at the scene.
The blaze at the Basilique Saint-Donatien appears to have caused substantial damage to the 19th Century landmark's roof and is reportedly believed to have been caused by renovation work.
Nantes' mayor Johanna Rolland said: "The inquiry will determine with certainty, but the work on the roof seems to have been the cause."
