Police investigate Didcot murders after suspect found dead

Detectives investigating the murders of a six-year-old girl, her mother and her father will switch their attention to the circumstances of their deaths after finding the body of the prime suspect.

The bodies of Janet Jordon, 48, Philip Howard, 44, and their daughter Derin were discovered at their home in Didcot, Oxfordshire on Saturday night.

Didcot killings: CCTV images of Jed Allen released

Police have hunting for Jed Allen - the man wanted in connection with the murders of his six-year-old sister, mother and her partner - have released CCTV images of him.

The footage shows the 21-year-old in a WH Smith store at Oxford railway station on the evening the bodies of his family were found at an address in Didcot.

Police said they believe Mr Allen boarded a train from Didcot to Oxford at 5.24pm and arrived in Oxford at 5.45pm before entering WH Smith.

He is then said to have walked to Oxford University Parks.

“Jed is wearing a red or maroon shirt, a dark hooded jacket with a white trim on the zip, blue jeans and black shoes," Detective Superintendent Chris Ward said.

He again urged the public not to approach the suspect, instead encouraging them to call 999 "immediately".

He also warned anyone who may be "harbouring" Mr Allen to contact police.
