Devastation in Nepal after second powerful earthquake

A powerful 7.3 magnitude earthquake struck Nepal on Tuesday - the biggest aftershock to date of a quake which left more than 8,000 people dead less than a month ago.

The latest earthquake has left more than 90 people dead and thousands injured.

Meanwhile, search teams are trying to locate a US military helicopter which went missing during an aid mission with six Marines and two Nepali soldiers on board.

Nepal: UK orders return of unused RAF helicopters

The British government has ordered the return of three RAF Chinooks sent to Nepal after they were left grounded in India for two weeks.

The helicopters were sent to assist the relief effort, but the Ministry of Defence said it was "disappointed" that they would not be used to support the distribution of aid.

It added, however, that "all decisions in relation to the relief effort are ultimately for the Government of Nepal to take".
