Devastation in Nepal after second powerful earthquake

A powerful 7.3 magnitude earthquake struck Nepal on Tuesday - the biggest aftershock to date of a quake which left more than 8,000 people dead less than a month ago.

The latest earthquake has left more than 90 people dead and thousands injured.

Meanwhile, search teams are trying to locate a US military helicopter which went missing during an aid mission with six Marines and two Nepali soldiers on board.

Powerful 7.1 magnitude earthquake strikes Nepal

A 7.1 magnitude earthquake has struck Nepal, the US Geological Survey has said.

It comes just weeks after a 7.8 magnitude quake left more than 8,000 people dead and destroyed hundreds of thousands of homes.

The earthquake struck close to the town of Namche Bazar, close to Mount Everest.

Kai Tabacek, who works for Oxfam, reported a "very strong tremor" in the country's capital.
