The Met Office has issued a yellow 'be aware' warning as strong winds continue to hit parts of the UK.
Gusts of up to 50-60mph are forecast for the North East and North West of England, Yorkshire and Humber, the Midlands and the East of England.
Northwesterly gales are also forecast for Scotland and Northern Ireland and north Wales.
The Severn Bridge has been closed to all traffic due to the strong winds.
The Highways Agency said the M48 Severn Bridge is closed in both directions to all vehicles.
In Humberside, the Ouse Bridge is closed in both directions to high sided vehicles.
