Millions of people across the UK and Europe have witnessed the best solar eclipse in years.

Many northern areas will be largely cloudy through the day with patchy rain in places, particularly across the west.
Further south, after a cloudy start many parts will enjoy a fine day with sunny spells developing and it will feel pleasantly warm in the sunshine.
