Liverpool target Sportiello expects to stay in Italy

Liverpool target Marco Sportiello says he doesn't expect to leave Atalanta anytime soon, but admits the Premier League outfit are 'a great club'.

The Italian goalkeeper has been linked with a move to the Premier League club, but admits it is unlikely he will move imminently.

"Liverpool are definitely a great club," Sportiello told Italian newspaper L'Eco di Bergamo. "We are talking about one of the top clubs in the world.

"However, I am happy to be here.

"This is my first year as a starter and I recently signed a new contract with Atalanta.

"My life has changed in a few months."
