Reports: Man Utd tell Monaco they won't be buying Falcao
Manchester United have told Monaco that they won't be looking to make Radamel Falcao's move to Old Trafford a permanent one, according to a report in French sports newspaper L'Equipe.
The report claims that Man Utd decided not to take the option of a €55-million move this summer after the striker's lacklustre display against Preston North End in the FA Cup.
Manager Louis Van Gaal replaced Falcao with Ashley Young when they were trailing 1-0 to the League One club and promptly the Red Devils came back to win the tie 1-3.
It's reported that the club's hierarchy were appalled by Falcao's inability to get the better of defenders two leagues below the top division.
