Barcelona star set to leave on a free in summer
Barcelona full-back Dani Alves is set to leave the Nou Camp when his contract expires in the summer, the Brazilian's agent has announced.
The defender has been linked with a move to Manchester United in recent weeks, which could become a reality after the Catalans failed to open talks with Alves' representatives over a new deal.
"They (Barca) have not gotten in touch with us," Alves' agent Dinorah Santana told Spanish radio station Cadena Ser. "Hence, we interpret that Barca does not want Alves to continue so we will find another club."
Alves expected to remain with the Catalan giants after the summer considering Barca cannot sign any players in 2015 after being banned by FIFA for breaking the rules concerning under-age player transfers.
"It's strange that they would let him (Alves) leave on a free transfer," Santana said. "But if they have not said anything up to now, I believe they do not want to renew Alves' contract."
