Two police officers injured in Dammartin shootout

Two police officers were reportedly injured in a gun battle with the Charlie Hebdo suspects in Dammartin today.

The Kouachi brothers were cornered in the town 25 miles (40km) north of Paris, after they abandoned a high-speed car chase and took refuge there on Friday morning, and the building they were holed up in was stormed by police this afternoon.

Both brothers were reportedly killed in the assault staged by French security forces.
