New Years Day is looking like a duvet day

The cold, clear and crisp conditions give way into the last few hours of this year.

It will become blustery and wet to the North West into New Years Eve. Elsewhere, it will cheer up after after another cold, frosty start tomorrow morning.

New Years Day is looking like a duvet day - so no need to feel guilty if you spend it nursing a hangover at home. It will be a blustery, dull, damp but mild start to 2015.
