Pakistani jets and ground forces killed 67 militants in a northwestern tribal region near the Afghan border, officials said, days after the Taliban killed 148 people - mostly children - in a school massacre.
A Taliban spokesman said that today's attack on a school in Pakistan's Peshawar district that killed more than 100 schoolchildren was "just the trailer".
Muhammad Khorasani, spokesman for the Pakistan terror group - known as Tehrik-i-Taliban - told AFP: “They [military] was always wrong about our capabilities.
"We are still able to carry out major attacks. This was just the trailer.”
He claimed that the gunmen sent to storm the school were under orders to "shoot the older students but not the children".
The boxer said it was the "least he could do" and even donated the £30,000 shorts he wore in his last fight against Devon Alexander.
Pakistan have released intelligence of the final conversations by the Taliban attackers responsible for the Peshawar school massacre.
As forensics examine the evidence in the school were 148 people, mainly children, where killed, students prepare to return to the classroom.
