US officials have said that air strikes destroyed a moving, 10-vehicle Islamic State convoy near the Iraqi city of Mosulm but added it was unclear whether the group's top commander Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was present at the time.
A spokesman at the US military's Central Command, said the US military had reason to believe that the convoy was the product of a gathering of Islamic State leaders.
The convoy was made up of 10 Islamic State armed trucks.
The Democratic presidential candidate may also have shown his cards on his choice of running mate.
The US president also shared a post on Twitter accusing Dr Anthony Fauci of misleading the public over hydroxychloroquine.
