Ten arrests during 'Million Masks March' in London

Police have made ten arrests after anti-capitalist activists took to the streets of central London tonight in a so-called 'Million Masks March'.

Demonstrators wearing Guy Fawkes masks and carrying banners and placards descended on Trafalgar Square before marching towards Parliament Square.

There were clashes with police in Parliament Square, with some protesters throwing barriers at riot officers.

'Anonymous' activists in Guy Fawkes masks hold protests

Members of anti-capitalist group 'Anonymous' marched against political oppression tonight in protests held in London and Scotland.

Demonstrators wearing Guy Fawkes masks and carrying banners and placards took part in the so-called Million Masks March protests at Trafalgar Square, Parliament Square and Buckingham Palace in London.

Russell Brand, who became the face of the Anonymous group's protest in London last November, once again showed his support at tonight's march in the capital.

In Glasgow and Edinburgh, demonstrators were seen draped in the Scottish flag.
