Eriksson and Richie among Trinity Mirror hacking payouts

Actor Shane Richie and former England manager Sven Goran Eriksson are among 10 people the Trinity Mirror newspaper group has agreed to compensate for phone hacking claims.

Richie was one of four people the Daily Mirror owner promised to compensate after admitting intercepting voicemails "many years" ago, along with fellow soap actors Lucy Benjamin and Shobna Gulati and TV presenter Alan Yentob.

Eriksson was one of six people with whom settlements have already been agreed, including Doctor Who actor Christopher Eccleston and Abbie Gibson, the former nanny of David and Victoria Beckham.

It is the first time Trinity Mirror has admitted its journalists hacked phones.
