NHS to fund Ashya King's treatment in Czech Republic

The NHS is to pay for five-year-old brain tumour patient Ashya King's proton beam therapy treatment in the Czech Republic.

His parents Brett and Naghemeh King sparked an international police hunt after they took their son out of Southampton General Hospital and travelled to Prague for the treatment which was not available for him on the NHS.

Ashya King's parents taken to court but charges unclear

Within the last few minutes I've seen Ashya King's parents Brett and Naghemeh being driven out of the police station where they have been held since yesterday.

I'm told that they have been taken to a court in Malaga to appear in front of a judge.

What the police aren't telling me at the moment is what offense they are being charged with.

How difficult it must be for them. They had come here to be with their son but tonight it appears they could be pulled further apart.
