Aberdeen health scare as passenger quarantined

A British Airways flight at Aberdeen has been held on the runway for several hours after one passenger fell ill aboard the plane.

Local health officials in face masks and protective clothing boarded the plane from Heathrow to assess the condition of the poorly passenger.

It is not believed at this stage that the patient is suffering from the Ebola virus.

An eye-witness on board told ITV Meridian that the passengers was then "taken to an isolation unit" and everyone else was told to be on the look out for symptoms of illness.

The passengers have now been allowed to leave the plane, ITV News understands.
