Israel's 'errant fire could have caused school shelling'

"Errant fire" by Israeli forces could have killed 15 people when a school used as a shelter in Gaza was hit by shelling today, a senior Israel military officer admits.

Lieutenant Colonel Peter Lerner told ITV News that it was still unclear what caused the "unfortunate, tragic, heartbreaking event", but insisted Israeli forces had asked the Red Cross to evacuate civilians from the area three days ago.
