UN school in Gaza hit by shelling for second time

A United Nations school sheltering people who have fled Israeli airstrikes in Gaza has been hit by shelling from Israeli shelling, the UN said.

Fighting has now been raging for 16 days and has left more than 650 dead.

Hamas has 'captured an Israeli soldier' in Gaza fighting

A spokesman for Hamas' armed wing said the group had captured an Israeli soldier during fighting in the Gaza Strip. Speaking on a Hamas television station, the masked spokesman, Abu Ubaida, said "we have captured a Zionist soldier and the occupation has not admitted that."

There was no immediate Israeli comment.
