US teen's hopes to return after 'beaten by Israeli police'

A Palestinian-American teen left with stitches and bruises from his detention by Israeli security forces said in an interview that he hopes to return one day without incident to the Middle East, where he was beaten while visiting relatives.

Tariq Abu Khdeir, the cousin of a murdered Palestinian boy, said he hopes he could "come back safe".

US teen 'speechless' when 'attacked by Israeli police'

The American teenager allegedly beaten by Israeli police has said he was 'speechless' when he was set upon by three people.

Tariq Khdeir, 15, told the Associated Press two of them hit him from behind before he 'fell asleep.'

He said: "I actually went unconscious and woke up in hospital."

Asked if he knew why he was attacked he said: "No, that's why I ran."
