US teen's hopes to return after 'beaten by Israeli police'

A Palestinian-American teen left with stitches and bruises from his detention by Israeli security forces said in an interview that he hopes to return one day without incident to the Middle East, where he was beaten while visiting relatives.

Tariq Abu Khdeir, the cousin of a murdered Palestinian boy, said he hopes he could "come back safe".

Mother of US teen in Israel denies riot involvement

The mother of American teenager Tariq Khdeir, reportedly beaten by Israeli forces, has denied the high school student was involved in protests at the time of the incident.

Speaking to ITV News Middle East correspondent Geraint Vincent, Suhair said that her 15-year-old son was "with her relatives" and had covered his face from "tear gas bombs".
