Asda defends England product compared to KKK outfit
Asda has defended a giant, wearable England flag sold by the shop after customers claimed it looks like a Ku Klux Klan costume.
The chain has begun selling Three Lions-themed merchandise ahead of next month's World Cup in Brazil.
One customer's tweet voicing his skepticism about the product has been retweeted over 5,000 times.
A spokesperson for Asda told Milton Keynes News: “We opted for a hood on our wearable England flag as you never know what the British weather will bring.
“We want customers to get behind the team without getting wet.”
