Chuck Hagel urges Thailand to 'return to democracy'
US Defence Secretary Chuck Hagel has called on Thailand to "return to democracy" during an Asia-Pacific security forum after the military took over control of the government in a coup.
Kerry: 'No justification' for Thailand army coup
US Secretary of State John Kerry said there was "no justification" for the military coup in Thailand.
"This act will have negative implications for the US-Thai relationship, especially for our relationship with the Thai military," Kerry said in a statement.
