Cameron offers more Typhoons for Nato air mission

Britain will offer another two Typhoon warplanes to patrol the skies of eastern Europe amid continuing tensions with Russia over the Ukraine cris, David Cameron has said.

Ukraine: 30 pro-Russian fighters killed in Slaviansk

Fierce fighting in the rebel stronghold of Slaviansk yesterday left more than 30 pro-Russian separatists dead, Ukraine's Interior Minister Arsen Avakov said today.

"We estimate that the terrorists lost more than 30 people," Avakov wrote on Facebook.

Pro-Russian militia said four of their fighters had been killed in the fighting, which broke out when rebels ambushed the servicemen near Slaviansk.

The rebels said four Ukrainian soldiers were killed and 20 wounded
