Two Ukrainian servicemen have been killed after two helicopters were shot down by pro-Russian gunmen in the eastern city of Slaviansk, the country's defence ministry said.
The ministry reported that several people were also injured in the attack, adding: "They complete terrorist acts trying to destabilise the situation in the region. Neither of them realises their actions result in deaths and wounds."
