Andy Coulson today denied knowing Milly Dowler's phone was hacked while he was editing the News of the World.
The Old Bailey has heard how Coulson was in charge of the Sunday paper in April 2002 when then editor Rebekah Brooks was on holiday in Dubai and the murdered schoolgirl's phone was hacked.
Coulson's lawyer Timothy Langdale asked him: "In terms of the Milly Dowler story were you aware of any activity by the NotW in relation to hacking Milly Dowler's voicemail messages?"
Coulson replied: "No I was not."
Coulson denies one count of conspiring to hack phones and two counts of conspiring to commit misconduct in a public office.
The Democratic presidential candidate may also have shown his cards on his choice of running mate.
The US president also shared a post on Twitter accusing Dr Anthony Fauci of misleading the public over hydroxychloroquine.
