The body of a kidnapped Ukrainian journalist involved in protests that led to president Viktor Yanukovych's removal in February has been found in a forest 60 miles outside Kiev, authorities said.

Cherkassk province prosecutors said Vasily Sergiyenko was abducted in his home city of Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi on Friday evening, and later murdered.

Nationalist party Svoboda, of which Mr Sergiyenko was a member, said he was found with stab wounds and signs he had been beaten.

Svoboda also said their leader Oleh Tyahnybok, who is running in the presidential election in May 25, have received threats over the past week.
