Harriet Harman: Labour backs TV licence review

Labour supports efforts to decriminalise non-payment of the TV Licence, the Shadow Culture Secretary said today.

Harriet Harman said that "no one wants to see people in prison for non-payment of the television licence".

She was speaking ahead of a parliamentary vote tomorrow which could establish a review of the penalties for non-payment.
