Police re-capture government building in Donetsk
Police re-captured the administrative headquarters of the eastern Ukrainian city of Donetsk and have around 68 pro-Russian protesters in custody who are being questioned over the occupation.
US assures Ukraine's neighbour Moldova of its support
The United States assured Moldova of its continued support as it pursues a pro-European policy in the face of turmoil in its eastern neighbor Ukraine.
"I regret to say Russia, in some of the challenges that we are seeing right now in Ukraine, has put pressure on Moldova," John Kerry said.
Moldovan Prime Minister Iurie Leanca is visiting the US, a week after Washington hosted the leader of Georgia to signal US backing for states in the region.
