US warns against Russian military intervention in Ukraine
The United States has warned Russia that it would be a "grave mistake" to embark on military intervention in Ukraine.
UK to provide support to Ukraine through IMF and EU
Britain is ready to provide support to Ukraine through schemes set up by the IMF and the European Union, Chancellor George Osborne has said.
"We should be there ready to provide financial assistance through organisations like the IMF, and of course alot of this will take the form of loans and the like, but there will be good investments in the economy of Ukraine," Mr Osborne told journalists in Singapore.
Ukraine's interim president signalled his intention to put the country back on course for European integration after Viktor Yanukovich was ousted from the presidency after days of bloody violence.
European Union foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton will travel to Ukraine today to discuss measures to help the ailing economy.
