The judge who presided over Amanda Knox's second murder conviction says he suffered over the verdict but that he and the jury agreed about her guilt in the death of British student Meredith Kercher.

Meredith Kercher's sister Stephanie said: "We're still on a journey to the truth and it may be the fact that we don't really ever know what happened that night. Which is obviously something that we will have to come to terms with.
"...We hope that come the end of the trial we are nearer to the truth and the end, so that we can just start to remember Meredith for who she was."
The Democratic presidential candidate may also have shown his cards on his choice of running mate.
