Jurors urged to forget about Travis' 'celebrity' status

Jurors at the trial of Dave Lee Travis have been urged to forget about his fame and treat him as a "normal member of the public", during the prosecution's closing speech. He denies 13 charges of indecent assault and one of sexual assault.

Dave Lee Travis' alleged offences 'vary in gravity'

The prosecution in the trial of Dave lee Travis told Southwark Crown Court that the allegations against the DJ "vary in gravity" and are all "sexual in nature".

The offences vary in gravity.

All are sexual in nature involving unwanted contact by this defendant on much younger women, both over clothing and under clothing.

The alleged offences are said to have taken place while the entertainer was working as a disc jockey, acting in pantomimes and even at a hospital radio station launch, the jury was told.

Mr Travis denies all charges.
