A police officer has today pleaded guilty to misconduct in public office in connection with the 'plebgate' affair.
Pc Keith Wallis was accused of falsely claiming that he had seen an incident in Downing Street involving former chief whip Andrew Mitchell and other police officers in September 2012.
Wearing a black suit and tie, Wallis stood in the dock for the brief hearing.
He spoke only to confirm his name and that he understood the charge before entering the guilty plea.
The Democratic presidential candidate may also have shown his cards on his choice of running mate.
The US president also shared a post on Twitter accusing Dr Anthony Fauci of misleading the public over hydroxychloroquine.
