Five MSF workers taken from house in Syria

Medical charity Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) said five of its staff members have been taken from a house in northern Syria by an unknown group.

MSF said the staff were taken yesterday evening "apparently for questioning" from one of the charity's homes and have not been heard from since.

"MSF is in contact with all the appropriate actors as well as the families of the colleagues and is doing everything possible to reestablish contact with these colleagues," spokeswoman Samantha Maurin said in a statement.

MSF, which sends medics to hard-to-reach conflict zones, said it has doctors working in six hospitals and four health centres in the north of Syria.
