Christmas is being celebrated in homes, places of worship and other more unusual spots across Britain.
Children gleeful after delivery of 10 tonnes of snow
Three sisters from Kirkcaldy in Fife have had their dreams of a white Christmas answered after winning a competition to win 10 tonnes of snow.
Sisters Chelsey-Lee, 6, Charlee, 4, and one-year-old Summer won the contest run by Real Radio and an the Ski Factor indoor ski slope at Braehead in Glasgow.
The bumper load of snow arrived this morning and was shovelled into the family's garden, where the children set about building a snowman and going sledging.
