England batsman Jonathan Trott has left the Ashes tour in Australia due to stress.
Trott to break from cricket to 'focus on recovery'
Jonathan Trott has said he needs a break from cricket to focus on his recovery from a stress-related illness, as it was revealed the batsman will play no further part in the Ashes tour.
"I don’t feel it's right that I'm playing knowing that I'm not 100 percent and I cannot currently operate at the level I have done in the past", Trott said in a statement.
"My priority now is to take a break from cricket so that I can focus on my recovery".
"I want to wish my team mates all the very best for the remainder of the tour”.
