Relief supplies reach disaster-hit Philippines

Important relief supplies have reached Cebu airport as efforts to help those affected by Typhoon Haiyan continued.

Key equipment, medical and food supplies are beginning to be distributed to the worst-hit areas, following initial frustration at the slow pace of relief efforts.

An RAF plane left the UK this morning to assist the aid process, and deliver heavy duty vehicles and medical supplies.
